10 Years

Nat and Zach have been together for ten years and went out for dinner and drinks last weekend to celebrate. Nat chose a new bar for their first stop that Zach did not like. 

 

Zach: I’m so much happier here.

Nat is on her phone.

Nat: Thank youuuu. That was nice. I’m so happy you’re here too.

Zach laughs.

Nat: What’d you say?

Zach: Of course you made it about you.

Nat: Aren’t you gonna do a toast?

Zach: End of summer or?

Nat: Um, 10 year anniversary?

Zach: We celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Nat: We’ve been dating for 10 years.

Zach: We’re not dating. We’re married.

Nat: Haven’t you ever heard you date your wife?

Zach rolls his eyes.

Nat: That was nice. Continue.

Zach: Here’s to 10 years of memories. And to 50-70 more.

Nat chugs her wine.

Zach: I still love you as much today as I did then.

Nat: Not more?

Zach: Well, a lot of people say love fades away.

Nat: You’re putting that in our 10 year anniversary toast?

Zach: Just drink.
