Brunch

The perfect cure to a late, fun-filled New Year’s night? A good brunch with great friends. One that includes a mimosa and bacon bar? Even better!

I like to include personal touches at each party so for my Red Fox friends, I added a piece of apropos paper to an old tray to serve as the mimosa station with brightly colored, delicious juices in vintage milk bottles with metal-rim tags. This summer, we subsisted on scones from Mary’s Marvelous so, naturally, those needed to be kneaded. My version? Slightly subpar.

Mini chalk boards helped label items like these frittata cups.

I used Giada’s recipe and added spinach and goat cheese to others.

The key to the perfect pancake?

Beat the egg whites separately into fluffy peaks and add at the very last minute, folding in just slightly.

Wait until your pancakes have holes in them and flip only once.
