Ice Cream Social

Preggos (and stripes!) unite.

We had the makings for some sprinkle art for kids that wanted to get crafty.

I lined the kids tables (stools here) with this colorable paper and the crayons we made.

Some kids chose to glue the crayons instead of color with them.

Sneaking in treats before the table was even finished being set up. That remained her favorite activity throughout the day.

Another fabulous custom piñata by Tiny Gala was the focal point for the dessert table.

Sprinkle fabric served as the table cloth, I used my pink letter board to create a playful saying and tie in the theme, ice cream cone holders held cones(like birthday cake, blue corn, orange creamsicle and red velvet from The Konery) filled with sprinkles and all kinds of toppings (sprinkles, Sugarfina ice cream cones, mini marshmallows, Fruit Loops…) were placed in these sundae cups. We also served custom ice cream cone cake pops that I put toothpicks in and placed in a piece of sprinkle tissue wrapped styrofoam in a glass vase. A blue milk glass cake stand (from this party) held the sprinkle bark.

My fabulous intern, Hannah, and her cousin, Macey, made these mini milkshake shooters from the Jeni’s ice cream, in these little cups with these straws (cut in half) and passed around to guests on this cute tray.

You can’t have an ice cream party without ice cream cake! A custom one from Baskin Robbins, a childhood fave for me, was reason enough for this preggo to throw a party (I had some that night and for breakfast the next morning too- sooo good!).

I also made mini ice cream sandwiches the day before with the Jeni’s ice cream, homemade sugar cookies and these sandwich makers (that I used for this picnic).

My largest cake stand still wasn’t big enough for this mother of a cake so I constructed a make shift riser with an upside down plastic crate covered with another whimsical sheet from Target.

We made a sprinkle photo wall but should’ve lined the whole space. Clearly, that was done at the last minute. Oh well, we tried.

Lilly’s cousins came up from Virginia to join in the festivities.

And a bunch of our friends from the city came out for the afternoon.

In addition to the Moon Picnic cones, the truck tent also had this set, this one and this one in it.

Some even dressed accordingly…

How stylish are these little ladies in their ice cream and sno cone duds?

The play set was a huge draw.

As was the bounce house…

…and the ice cream truck tent.

Back at it. While I went inside to get candles, someone took it upon herself to add decorations to the cake.

Patiently (?) waiting on me.

Hungry customers.

Finally, Lilly’s mom got her act together.

I ordered ice cream candles but thought that might be overkill so opted for these tall tapered ones instead.
