Pretty Friendsgiving Tablescape

I can’t get into Christmas decor yet. It’s November 7th! But I am excited about having a grown up table for the first time and hosting our first Thanksgiving ever! And in our new home! Still, I’m not really the traditional type. And brown and orange are probably my two least favorite colors. As you can probably tell with one look at my Insta feed, I’m much more of a blue, white and pink (although that’s new, I used to hate pink, even designing my daughter’s nursery in all purple and grey to avoid the stereotype) person. And I think you’re table should reflect the rest of your home. So, naturally, I went with a softer color palette.

I found pretty pink placemats on sale this summer and picked them up for a future girl’s dinner party (cause I love a GNI!). Later this year, I stopped by the same store for these gold chargers (I already own silver but wasn’t feeling that this time around.), paired them with  our white wedding plates and these new smaller ones from Oh Joy for Target. Love that Joy Cho! The napkins (Lord knows I love a blue and white stripe!) came from there as well. I finally purchased flatware that I’ve been waiting to buy for years and the gold candlestick holders and candles along with the napkin rings came form H&M Home along with the glasses I used, other plates, a gold tray of theirs and so much more. I love that one of my favorite, affordable and on-trend stores now has a home line.

For a test run, I threw a Friendsgiving with my new tableware…

I found the perfect pink pumpkin, bought it early, it sat there for two weeks and about a day before the dinner party, while I was in Disney World, my dad, who was sitting for us, sent me a video of it imploding all over my new table. So… And, of course it was two days before Halloween and I drove around everywhere looking for another perfectly hued squash to no avail so orange it was. Boo. Literally.

I found these adorable and perfect-for-place-holder mini pumpkins in the Target dollar bin!

Table and benches are from Restoration Hardware, pillows are from Fragments Identity and Lulu & Georgia (blush is on sale now)  and rug is Anthropologie.

When it came time to shopping for and cooking dinner, after getting back from Disney the night before, being extremely busy the day of and one of my friends texting me that, due to severe allergies, she was bringing her own food, the three remaining amigas decided to order in, which was, of course, so much less stressful! God Bless Thai. But that didn’t mean we couldn’t class it up with some good pre and post snacks! Love the rose gold monogram and cheese platters.

Check out other Thanksgiving table scapes,  fun spins on holiday classics, our favorite stuffings and last year’s Thanksgiving,
